Death In June - Black Angel - Live! (NRP23) - Released 2009

Neuropa Records

'Black Angel - Live' recorded in Australia 24th May, 2000 was one of the first of the intense stripped-back acoustic performances featuring Douglas P. and percussionist John Murphy that characterized Death In June's live work in this new Century.

This limited edition Picture Disc LP, with a different full colour picture on each side, is coupled with a bonus 4 track CD recorded at an impromptu performance 2 years later on 26th June, 2002, at The Laundry, Melbourne, Australia featuring a rare solo performance by Douglas P. on 6 string electric guitar with unreleased live versions of tracks from the then recently-issued 'All Pigs Must Die' album.

Exciting and direct, the songs on both the Picture Disc and CD can be regarded as a 'best of' Death In June live experience up to that point in time. All tracks have been digitally recorded and mastered.

K100 - The Vault Of Apparitions (NRP25) - Released 2010

Neuropa Records

The solo project of Kim Sųlve (Trine + Kim Design Studio, Swarms, M) turns loose his first collection from the vault. After a decade of introspection, intense work and self-imposed musical seclusion he now presents the first 12 tracks of dark glimmering electronic music. This is distant, transporting music built from ghost frequencies and hoarse sound fields. The building blocks are carved from excursions to industrial ruins and condemned places which resonates with otherness and timelessness, as well as from sounds of personal artifacts and intense personal experiences bordering on rituals. The glimpse into the vault can be yours from 30th October on. Turn the key, open the vault and hear what's inside...

K100 - the aural equivalent of a false awakening.

Originally scheduled for release in October 2009 this dark gem has suffered a severe delay following unfortunate circumstances. The first edition is now destroyed and the REAL edition is available at last!

We have 30 orders available of The Vault of Apparitions that come with a copy of Swarms' The Silver Hour album from 2008 at a little extra cost. Comes in silver printed arigato pack. Be quick.

Maninkari - Un Souffle De Voix (NRP21) - Released 2009

Neuropa Records

Maninkari is an instrumentalist duo combining different ways of improvisation and composition related to ambient, dark & minimalist music, jazz and surreal. The music of Maninkari lives in medieval alchemy, this album works primarily on a research for atmosphere. Dark and repetitive music, mixtures of drum, viola and santoor and looking for a mystic paroxysm.

These songs were originally intended to be released as a sideproject under the Ephemerole banner but as time grew it became the next Maninkari album.

Mekanorganik - How To Extract Sunlight From Cucumbers (NRP26) - Released 2010

Neuropa Records

'How To Extract Sunlight From Cucumbers' is the debut album of the Belgian post industrial music formation MekanOrganiK, featuring three members of the well-known industrial percussion band MILITIA: Frank Gorissen, Sandra Janssen and Frank Van Hoof. They play rythmic music using a combination of conventional instruments (percussion, guitar, effects, sequencer, wind instruments...) mixed with tools, machines and 'organic materials' such as wood, water, sand, stones, bones and skulls, glass and even cucumbers.

The music of the album is based on the adventures of Lemuel Gulliver, the main character in Jonathan Swift's book 'Gulliver's Travels', which is a great and sophisticated satire of human nature based on Swift's experience of his times. 'Gulliver's Travels' is an anatomy of human nature and society and so is the music of MekanOrganiK.

Neuropa Records

The first chapter of Militia's Archive Collection takes us back to their 1996-1997 recordings. The disc holds six tracks taken from the 'War Against Society' compilation, the 'Pain/Familiedrama' tracks featuring Con-Dom and Laura Maes and ends with the 'Kingdom Of Our Lord' mcd. All tracks were previously released by the now defunct German cult-label Praxis Dr. Bearmann. A nice appetizer for Militia's upcoming album 'Power, Propaganda, Production!'. An essential piece of industrial nostalgia!

Oda Relicta - Czarstvo Dukha (NRP19) - Released 2008

Neuropa Records

Less then a year after the well-received debut album 'The Crown & The Plough' (NRP16), Olegh Kolyada presents his sophomore album. 'Czarstvo Dukha' shows us the other side of Oda Relicta. Heavily inspired by archival sacral recordings, this album stands far from the bombastic music presented on the debut. Eleven tranquil neofolk compositions will take you on a spiritual journey. The entire album is enriched with sopranos, classical instruments and that special Ukrainian local flair.

Oda Relicta was assisted on this recording by Albireon, Lonsai Maikov and Dissonant Elephant, surely not unknown to the neofolk connaisseurs. The cd is packed in an elegant digipack with an 8-page booklet.

Oda Relicta - The Crown & The Plough (NRP16) - Released 2007

Neuropa Records

This is not martial industrial, this is martial music. Oda Relicta is the product of one Olegh Kolyada who recorded 'The Crown & The Plough' with the aid of the Zhytomyr Military Orchestra. 'The Crown & The Plough' is a well-thought-over record overviewing the history of Olegh's motherland, The Ukraine. The album scores the clash between workmen and nobles; where the crown meets the plough! Grandiosely conducted Slavonic faithful hymns, orchestral sacred marches and utopian neo-folk nicely meld into a mysterious and refined album.

Design by Nikolay Saveliev.
Mastering by Henrik Nordvargr Björkk.

Orchestra Noir - What If... (NRP28) - Released 2010

Neuropa Records

This is the first full-length album from Tony Wakeford's new-look Orchestra Noir since its resurrection as a London based project. With a move away from the martial towards musicians and compositions more based on chamber, and early music. In 2006 a collaboration started with Current 93 collaborator Richard Moult and acclaimed oboist Mark Baigent based initially on the words and music of Tony Wakeford but which soon flourished as a collaboration between the three and later with the acclaimed early-music violinists and viola players, Ben Sansom and Alexandria Lawrence.

With the addition of Sol Invictus percussionist M and flutist Guy Harries, a synthesis of experimental and traditional took place with unhealthy dollops of Edwardian dark whimsy, humor and satire. Aided by the folki voice of Autumn Grieve and the Jazz improvisation of Jessica Constable, an intriguing new direction had begun...

OST - Res Dej Inte! (NRP24) - Released 2009

Neuropa Records

A young guy is brutally beaten by a gang; a girl is threatened for her life to stay silent. Soccer hooligans plan the revenge. But who is really guilty?

A dark, realistic story, the film follows three youth gangs and their time spent on the streets and their lives. Over a relatively short span the characters deal with paranoia, pain, violence and more. This film is powerful and grim. The last scenes are totally unforgettable. The plot comes to a sudden end and there are no truths about what really happened. More than a film, Res dej inte! is a comment about the ongoing violence in society.

'Res Dej Inte!' is the debuting original motion picture soundtrack for Simon Kölle, more known for his work with Za Frūmi, Abnocto and Musterion. The film is directed by talented Swedish director Richard Jarnhed, who has directed films, written scripts and worked in the Swedish film industry since the early 90s.

A couple of things stand out in the film 'Res Dej Inte!' and one of them is for sure the dark and atmospheric soundtrack. The music was composed with great care and it creates a darkness and focus as much as being authentic, organic and filled with suspense.

Simon worked on the unique sound of the music mixing genres a lot. One could easy see this album as one of the dark ambient genre but more than so taking that genre into the world of cinema.

Roses Never Fade - s/t (NRP22) - Released 2009

Neuropa Records

Roses Never Fade is a multi-national folk-noir project spearheaded by Dwid Hellion (Integrity). Their debut was released in 2006 on Rock Vegas Records and has in the meantime sold-out. The album was mainly distributed through channels close to the hardcore/metal scene.

Neuropa Records is proud to reissue the album with the tracks from a limited 7" ep as an added bonus, and as such to introduce Roses Never Fade to the more folk-oriented audience.

Roses Never Fade accompanies the listener on a nightmarish excursion through 15 chilling tomes. Driven by a core of lushly layered acoustic guitars that swell to and fro while creating a cavernous wail that envelops the half whispered vocal textures. For fans of Integrity, Joy Division, Bauhaus, Tom Waits.

Wolfskin - The Hidden Fortress (NRP10) - Released 2008

Neuropa Records

Wolfskin is one of Europe's finest and most original ritual ambient acts. Over the years they, along with their partners of Forgotten Blood, are surely responsable for putting Portugal on the dark-ambient map. 'The Hidden Fortress' is both their first and last output: originally released as a cassette tape back in 1995, Johan Aernus decided to close the Wolfskin circle with a remastered and partially re-recorded edition of that same record. On his last journey to the hidden fortress, he took a companion with him: Swedish audio-genius Objekt4 gave the whole record a new life & dynamic. This record was years in the making, no risks were taken to prevent this from becoming a worthy testament for one of the most exciting dark-ambient acts Europe has known.

Presented in an elegant 6-panel digipack.

Aeterna - New Dawn (CMI199) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

Awake The New Dawn! Aeterna is a new apocalyptic folk outfit from Germany, born in 2007. In the beginning it was intended to be the strictly personal musical outlet for founding member Birthe Klementowski, well-known from her artwork for Cold Meat Industry’s Desiderii Marginis, :Golgatha: and Dawn & Dusk Entwined. But the dynamics between Alpha and Omega brought forth something new. The dark and brooding atmospheres invoke the mood of decline and decay, a direct resemblance to the artist's photography.

The album 'New Dawn' ultimately presents 11 songs about the decline and rebirth of culture. The music of Aeterna is based on ritualistic and shamanistic structures, mainly acoustic sounds, and invoking chants – all based on the dualistic principle of male and female energy – Alpha & Omega. Aeterna is a trans-modern, neo-shamanistic, animistic art project. A Luciferian hymnus to awake the New Dawn…

Aethere - In Coma (Rage61) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

Aethere is an act of Emanuele Ratti from Milan who in the last 4 years brought to perfection his dark ambient/space music hybrid. Starting from a Cold Meat Industry style and finishing with more sophisticated personal music, binding dilated atmospheres -typical for space music- with the more compact, oppressive style, characteristic for Swedish masters.

'In Coma' is the end of Aethere, an album created on the really feeble equilibrium between life and death: the EEG sound walks through the six tracks until the acme of the mass-sounds. When the EEG becomes a flat line, Aethere dies.

Ah Cama-Sotz - Declaration Of Innocence (BC06) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

Exactly one year after the highly acclaimed 'Dead Cities' the man who we know better as Ah Cama-Sotz (Batman for friends) presents a new album on his own Bats & Cats label. Hidden inside a metal CD-case lies the 'Declaration Of Innocence", guarded by the characteristic circular logo of the Bat.

In ten tracks Ah Cama-Sotz tells a story of a journey; how your inner soul is transported into another dimension. Events on this journey include a certain 'Sacrifice' as instructed by 'Voices From The Dark', a visit to 'Warszawa' and - albeit from a distance - watch the 'Decline Of The Roman Empire'.

And like a true journey, the view out the window is gorgeous. Varied and dynamic as we have gotten to know the talent of our tour-conductor. There are moments of deep dub with heavily distorted guitars, ambient neo-classical soundscapes, Arabian as well as ritualistic influences. And the additional vocals of Fleur Pierets turn the rockiest mountain into the Garden of Eden...

With 'Declaration Of Innocence' Ah Cama-Sotz succeeds again in delivering an album which completely f*cks up the inside of your head and therefore changes your perspective of a world filled with Blood, Guilt, Sin and Innocence.

Apart - Winter Fragments (FM16) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

A strictly limited double CDr and a highly professional release with fabulous artwork and fantastic packaging . The title 'Winter Fragments' makes up for two unreleased albums put together for this special release: 'Fragments Of A Cold Broken Day' and 'A Winter Project...'. Both albums end a phase for this project, born with 'Across The Empty Night' and then developed through different (dark) music styles on this double, precious gem! Ex-All My Faith Lost member and co-founder Francis Gri collected over 110 minutes of superb music: mixing different influences and his own research, the link with his original band became thin, but it's even emotionally stronger now.

Music is delicate, romantic, with ardent and melancholic soundscapes, subtle arrangements, dark piano parts, female + male vocals, cinematic instrumental pieces and cold ambient tracks, unforgettable melodies and refined sound-structures.

Fans of pure, high quality ethereal music, ambient and dark wave will LOVE it. Recommended for anyone into ethereal darkwave, early-Black Tape For A Blue Girl, Cocteau Twins, instrumental post-rock, Labradford, Stars Of The Lid, Björk and soundtrack-like ambient music.

Arditi - Marching On To Victory (EQM015) - Released 2007

Distributed Records

The original release of 'Marching On To Victory' dates back to 2003, with a small pressing of 1000 copies on the obscure Swedish label Svartvintras. The legacy that one half of the project brought from his work with Puissance was fairly evident, yet the focus on his work as Arditi was not so much beautifuly orchestrated narrations of the apocalypse, but far grimmer depictions of the past centuries world conflicts. Field recordings and blurry speeches were incorporated into Arditi's compositions, adding a rather disturbing tone to the predominant military snare-drums, obscure symphonic arrangements and hypnotic soundscapes. The suffocating combination between martial classical arrangements and somber atmospheres would set Arditi's debut album as one of the bleakest releases on the Militaristic Neo-Classical movement that was starting to flourish at the time.

Arditi - Omne Ensis Impera (EQM020) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

The highly anticipated new album by the Swedish duo is finally upon us, entitled 'Omne Ensis Impera'. The sense of determination that echoes through their music and which has brought them to the forefront of martial industrial/neo-classical scene has stayed untouched; evoking the sense of duty and commitment that Italy's WWI elite storm troops, from which the name Arditi originated, were known for.

'Omne Ensis Impera' introduces an additional strength to Arditi's compositions - epic orchestral loops and thunderous percussions are granted a more prominent role, stirring the damp and suffocating ambiance that the duo have always produced so well with their use of ominous synths, obscure speeches and mesmerizing narrations.

'Omne Ensis Impera' has been mastered by Kamrat Nordvargr of Mz.412 and Toroidh, an old ally of the band. Nordvargr has also contributed with additional arrangements on a couple of tracks and prepared a slightly modified track list which will feature on the vinyl version of the album that will follow soon.

Boasting the unique personality of this Swedish combo, 'Standards of Triumph' taps further into the darker tones of militaristic neo-classical ambiance that has become the band's trademark, resulting in their strongest effort so far - ever effective in their use of crushing orchestrations and evocative speeches, Arditi hereby drags the listener around muddy trenches, leaving aside overly pompous festive marches or alcohol fueled merry bunker songs which seem to have become the norm as of late, and casting an hypnotizing veil over the turmoil of warfare-inspired Industrial soundscapes.

Arecibo (Lustmord) - Trans Plutonian Transmissions (SOL152) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

Arecibo’s 'Trans Plutonian Transmissions' was first released by German label Atmosphere in 1994. It has been out of print for nearly a decade, and, whenever a rare copy appears for sale, changes hands for ridiculous prices. This new 2009 edition has been remastered from the ground up, and is presented in completely redesigned packaging.

Interviewed by AmbiEntrance, B. Lustmord described Arecibo as “a side project of sorts, where I indulge myself in music that doesn't fit into the Lustmord concept.” Using audio recordings of quasars, pulsars and other deep space sources, B. Lustmord weaves a deeply haunting and atmospheric album. Reviewing the music for Amazon.com, Yorgos Dalman captured the essence of the recording perfectly when he wrote “The entire album could indeed be the soundtrack to the universe itself, with senses of vast cosmic plains, empty voids, infinite darkness, lonely, ever turning planets and immense large, desolate carpets of stars.”

Atrium Carceri - Phrenitis (CMI203) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

'Phrenitis' takes the listener to a twisted place where the walls between worlds are razed. The ruinous cities of wars long past, where time itself is but a prisoner and the warlords roaming their purgatorial halls are free to destroy the very foundations of the natural order.

'Phrenitis' is the 6th album of Atrium Carceri and is yet another step of the ever increasing Atrium Carceri wake up call. Simon Heath shows himself and the world, yet again, that no man is ever truly the master of their art unless they strive to evolve with it. The soundscapes he has created bypass the conscious mind, taking the listener deep into his pristine nightmare. The evolution of sound is spot-on and sets Atrium Carceri apart from other lazy dark ambient acts by being a truly diverse piece, replete with details upon details to make the illusion complete, and haunting compositions to make the mind yearn.

Babyflesh - New Wave Of Cynicism (Vend006) - Released 2005

Distributed Records

After a debut-cd on Slaughter Productions in 2002, the Norwegian Babyflesh has just released a new opus full of dark ambient and industrial influences. This band perfectly fills the gap between dark ambient and industrial, exploring both universes to finally reach a compact sound. Tracks like 'Bridges Are For Burning' and 'Suicide Song' are both perfectly representing the bombast of the industrial style and the state of stupor and fright of ambient. A few spoken sampled vocals add a ghostlike impression on a few more cuts. Babyflesh isn't reinventing the ambient and/or the industrial style(s), but the approach is pretty original!

Boris - Smile (Sunn92) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

Upon reflection of the aftermath of releasing their most successful album to date: (Pink) Boris has found the desire to create sounds that are a wider extension of just simply music. They are searching for sounds that are also an extension of life and the many experiences they have had in the two years that have passed since the release of Pink. In their quest Boris are drawing upon unconventional influences such as: obscure hair metal, Japanese cartoon songs, and 80's Japanese pop singers to help shape the bands new directions. They are unafraid to embrace different sounds that are definitely not hip or cool within the context of accepted rock, noise, or drone music. These bold moves are really nothing new from the band that basically changes with every release with a conscious effort to not repeat what they have done in the past. Smile is a new sound which represents everything that is RIGHT NOW. Boris hope this is going to be a new experience for everyone beyond 'music'. It features collaborative guests: Stephen O'Malley (Sunn0))), KTL), and Michio Kurihara (Ghost, White Heaven, The Stars).

'Hatesville!' is a collection of songs by The Boyd Rice Experience, The Partridge in the Pear Tree, Adam Parfrey and Jim Goad. This new edition has been completely remastered and features three new songs. Best of all, it’s available for the first time on vinyl. Brighter Death Now - Where Dreams Come True: Live In Chicago (CMI196) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

On Friday the 13th of June 2003, the Swedish aggressor penetrated a virginal North America and left its sick stain inside the city of Chicago. The assault lasted for just over sixty agonizing minutes, intimidation of power the only lubrication. Sometimes slow and accompanied by whispered threats, other times hard and gratuitously painful. Always overbearing and unrelenting. Isn't that what LOVE is supposed to feel like? Moans of pleasure in the throes of violation. The amplification of obsession within an ongoing "abusive" relationship. The evidence of trauma conveniently packaged and presented as commodity. Feel dirty and ashamed over and over again. Remember, you're a victim, not a survivor.

On this special occasion the personell of BDN was Roger Karmanik and Proiekt Hat. Your trauma comes in packed in a deliciously foilprinted 4-panel digipak. Limited to only 1000 copies!

Burning Witch - Crippled Lucifer (Sunn2) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

For the uninitiated: After the breakup of the cult doom/death band Thorr's Hammer in 1995, Stephen O'Malley, Greg Anderson and Jamie Sykes formed Burning Witch. The band then added G. Stuart Dahlquist and vocalist Edgy 59, rounding out their lineup. Anderson left the band and moved to Los Angeles to form the band Goatsnake. In 1996, the band (without Anderson) recorded songs with Steve Albini, which would become the Towers... EP. This collection would actually not see a formal release on 12" until 1998 on Slap A Ham Records. After the sessions for these songs, Sykes left the band and was replaced by B.R.A.D.

The sessions that followed the Albini recordings resulted in the Rift.Canyon.Dreams EP, which would prove to be the final recordings by the band, as they broke up soon after the disc was completed. It was released on 12" by Merciless Records. Shortly after disbanding: 'Crippled Lucifer' a compilation CD of the two EPs, was released in 1998 by the then new label Southern Lord Records. It was the second release of the label, the first being Thorrs' Hammer. Burning Witch briefly reformed for their last shows in the fall of 1998 after which Edgy 59 left the band. O'Malley reunited with Anderson to form Sunn O))), and Dahlquist joined both in sunn 0))) for their first two albums (The Grimm Robe Demos, Void) then briefly joined Anderson in Goatsnake for the 'Flower of Disease' album.

This deluxe double cd re-issue of all Burning Witch recordings will serve as a respectful epitaph for this incredible band.

The packaging on this bitch is absolutely amazing and will serve as the appropriate sheath to shelter this archive. Trust us it will be worth the wait and more!

Cages - Folding Space (CSR121CD) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

The shaking notes that make up 'Folding Space' were recorded by two people holed up in their whole respective imaginations of visions of loops, layers and pleading lyrics. They sought sounds from the same dreams that give fools belief and colourfully punctuate the nights of the sanest. There are elements of dreamy ether and discomfort rather than the easy choruses and catchphrases of the most collected and consumed art form. The visions backing this elaborate music were recorded and are performed for a primary reason: to exist freely. An hour of music set in studios buried by blizzards of the American Great Lakes region. Artwork with gold print.

Changes - A Ripple in Time (WhiteLabel 004) - Released 2006

Distributed Records

"When the concept for this album was in its seminal stages, we came to the realization that there were several songs from Changes' earlier years which had yet to be released in any form. Some had been recorded on early "demo" tapes while others had not. Thus, it was decided that instead of using previously recorded tracks, we would return to the studio to create new renditions of these songs. Additionally, the arrangements, bridges, and harmonies were enhanced to better reflect our current style. Also included in this album are three new songs, "Somewhere in the Night", "Eldorado", and "Paradiso". Essentially, the album bridges the years from Changes' inception to its present incarnation. It is with great pleasure that we present to you 'A Ripple in Time'."

Collapsar - Beyond The Event Horizon (TumorCD38) - Released 2009

Malignant presents another rising star within the dark ambient scene, this time in the form of French act Collapsar. With their debut cd Collapsar transports the listener on an epic journey deep into the cosmos, forging a path across a vast, inky void, and steering a course around a roiling galactic core of hyper-dense stars and black holes. The sound is epic, expansive, and most of all, HEAVY. There is beauty and tranquility within these realms, but there is no light – just massive, pulsating textures coalescing into shimmering drones, rippling sound waves, and billowing, multi-dimensional layers of powerful dark energy. 'Beyond The Event Horizon' is without question, dark ambient in its purest form and one of the more genre defining releases of the last several years. A must for fans of Inade, Lustmord and the like.

Dandelion Wine - Selected Anachronisms (AMD017) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

Dandelion Wine“s new album 'Selected Anachronisms' is a slight departure from 2006“s 'An Inexact Science' due to a greater emphasis on the intensity of the band“s live show which has enthralled people around the world. The album features Dandelion Wine“s trademark tapestry of old acoustic instruments (such as dulcimer, lute, flute, bowed psaltery), layered atmospheres and singer Naomi Henderson“s enrapturing vocal and also adds a new element of big danceable beats and grooves. This change has been brought about in part by the band“s frequent touring: since the release of 'An Inexact Science' Dandelion Wine have embarked on three full tours of Australia and a 3 month tour of Europe and Japan. Recorded in various locations in Australia including inner city Melbourne and a tranquil farm house in rural Gippsland, 'Selected Anachronisms' features an even wider array of instruments than previous Dandelion Wine albums with everything from medieval strings instruments, to analogue synths, ethnic percussion to multi-layered guitars, all underpinned by a solid foundation of electronic beats.

You will hear the reflection of the vastness, mysteries, and timelessness of this universe in a journey through these manifold aspects, and through the power and beauty of the unique mixture of progressive-industrial, martial beats, dark ambient, and neo-folk as calls, avoiding usual cliches. Dawn & Dusk Entwined/Golgatha - Sang Graal (CMI184) - Released 2008

'Sang Graal' is an opus magnum, built in symbiotic collaboration during the last two years by the French masters of martial neo-classical music Dawn & Dusk Entwined and the German ritual-folk act :Golgatha: - both formations well know from their recent albums on CMI. Both bands worked on all tracks together, combining their styles and forces to create a powerful neo-classical-folk-opera with occasional glimpses of soundtrack pathos and dark ambience.

The title refers to the myth of the Saint Graal, the 'holy grail', and the 'sang réal', the bloodline of Jesus Christ. The album researches on various levels the different readings of the grail through the centuries, from an ancient fertility rite to the popular conspiracy theory.

Deadwood - Ramblack (CSR104CD) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

'Ramblack' is the follow up to Deadwood's successful 2005 album '8 19'. Over the past 3 years this Swedish artist has been toiling away, creating a new black ambient/death noise masterpiece and 'Ramblack' is the result. Cloaked in a more raw and morbid sound then its predecessor, this album truly changes ones perspective of audial darkness. This analogue beast of an album layers the tonal prayers of demons and the distorted cries of angels, sickness and depravity. True Death Electronics. The soundtrack to your end. 'Ramblack' features guest vocals from Norwegian Black Metal legend Maniac (Skitliv, ex-Mayhem), whose vocal approach on the song 'Forakt' shows the full range of his capacity. Truly one of the most sick and twisted pieces of sonic art ever recorded. Enjoy the disease!

Death In June - The Phoenix Has Risen (NERUS2) - Released 2007

Distributed Records

Whilst some people try to re-write history, Death In June continues to reclaim it. These recently discovered recordings were unknown to members of the group until 2005. They feature a rehearsal studio recording in 1981 of nine songs, some of which were never named or released. These are coupled with eight live songs from the seminal performance at Alan McGee's 'The Living Room' club in London, 9th September 1983. It was on that fateful evening that Mr. McGee introduced Douglas P. to David Tibet. Musical history was never to be the same again.

Death In June & Boyd Rice - Scorpion Wind (Nerus39) - Released 2007

Distributed Records

Originally released in 1996 as Scorpion Wind's 'Heaven Sent' CD/LP this album has long been considered the 'lost' classic collaboration between Death In June's Neofolk pioneer Douglas P. and industrial music's renegade innovator Boyd Rice. Recorded in Australia prior to the pair starring in the cult film 'Pearls Before Swine', it is a unique, melodic and richly orchestrated ode to modern living, modern loving and modern hating. Joined by percussionist John Murphy (SPK, KnifeLadder) for the first of what was to prove many collaborations between the 'Unregistered 3' and young Australian group Strength Through Joy (now Ostara), these recordings proved to be the perfect follow up to 1990’s ground-breaking Boyd Rice & Friends album 'Music, Martinis & Misanthropy'.

Digitally remastered CD including two extra tracks from the era and stunning new artwork, presented in a red and black foil-blocked digisleeve.

It has been in the works for years, but here is finally the official cd version of the early Deathspell Omega material that was available on vinyl only. Harsh and in the style of a more frantic 'Inquisitors Of Satan', some of these ideas have developed to sketches for later recordings.

Die Weisse Rose - A Martyrium Of White Roses (CMI149) - Released 2009-05

Distributed Records

It might seem strange that a band without a single release to its name has played concerts and festivals all over Europe. But anyone who has ever experienced Die Weisse Rose on stage knows why. More than concerts, Die Weisse Rose’s performances are elaborate rituals, caleidoscopic (or even psychedelic) experiences. Elements such as uniforms, burning torches, snippets of old schlägers, segments from documentary films and philosophical proclamations are wowen together by orgies of live drums and electronic sounds.

Die Weisse strives towards what Wagner called ”Gesamtkunstwerke” – total works of art. When most other bands talk about Gesamtkunstwerke, it sounds pretentious. When Die Weisse Rose do it, it makes sense. Die Weisse Rose also like to think of their songs as “audiodocumentaries”. Again, such a seemingly pretentious term makes sense, as Die Weisse Rose’s art is just as indebted to the History Channel as to Throbbing Gristle.

To bolster Die Weisse Rose’s lineup (which really consists only of the band’s mastermind, Thomas Bųjden) over the years the unit has recruited collaborators to its ranks that makes DWR smack of an Industrial supergroup. From Marco Deplano (Foresta di Ferro), Gerhard (Allerseelen), Kim Larsen (Of the Wand and the Moon) to name but a few. In return, Thomas Bųjden has returned the favour and played with a who’s who of of the Industrial and Neofolk underground, from well-established outfits like Rome, Blood Axis and Foresta Di Ferro to up-and-coming Austrian neofolk band Klammheim.

Now, Die Weisse Rose are for the first time available on record. If you fear that we have another ”martial” clone band on our hands, prepare to be pleasantly surprised. The music is painstakingly crafted and orchestrated to perfection to include electronic elements, field recordings and real instruments, and its creative merits really stand out in an underground culture where bands of far lesser talents than Die Weisse Rose would release three albums in the time Die Weisse Rose have patiently worked on theirs.

Die Weisse Rose - Okzidentalisches Grammophon (DWR001) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

Recorded on Die Weisse Rose’s 2008 Winter Solstice performance in Sintra, Portugal the present document is the counterpart to the Danish formation’s debut studio album on Cold Meat Industry. What is to be witnessed here through nine tracks is the very same driving force from early post-industrial releases, a force most though lost and gone. Elegant and sober yet Dionysian and fierce, unrestrained and disciplined. This is the testimony of the militant conservative avant-garde. This 12” LP is limited to 292 numbered units in clear vinyl and comes with a poster.

Same as above in an elegant box housing the record in a special sleeve and containing an exclusive t-shirt, a pen knife, a notebook and a metal pin. Limited to 50 units.

This full length release from DYM, newly recruited to NoiTekk, has been long anticipated by their fans. 'The Invilid' features uniquely enigmatic influences combined with ebm synths and the well-known harsh vocals favoured by the label's ranks to produce an album full of aggressive club anthems.

These have been infused with a breakcore-influenced rapid-fire style percussion plus glitching and abrasive editing (inspired by rhythmic noise and breakcore acts such as Venetian Snares and Enduser). DYM will lead the EBM/Hellectro scene to the next level by bringing new influences to the genre.

Earth - Hibernaculum (Sunn74) - Released 2007

Distributed Records

Hibernaculum is a very special CD and DVD package release from avant-experimental drone innovators Earth. The audio material consists of new recordings of three old Earth classics redone in a different, stark and clean tone, plus the track 'A Plague of Angels' which was previously available on a rare tour-only split 12" with Sunn0))).

The video material (on a second disc) is an Earth documentary filmed by Seldon Hunt. The documentary features interviews with Dylan Carlson and live footage from the group's 2006 European tour. It is the first time ever that footage of Dylan Carlson and Earth has been released since the resurrection of the group. Detailed insight into the process of the band as well as candid, intimate conversations are captured in the film. The lineup assembled by Dylan Carlson for this album compliments the aesthetic and direction perfectly. Adrienne Davies who brought a patient, consistent and complimentary rhythm and percussion to the 'Hex' album is again behind the drum kit. Don Mcgreevy and Jonas Haskins provide bass support. Steve Moore assists on keyboards and horns. Greg Anderson (Sunn 0)))/Thorr's Hammer/Goatsnake) adds subsonics via analogue synth on 'Ouroboros Is Broken' and 'Coda Maestoso In F (Flat) Minor'.

As with 'Hex', 'Hibernaculum' is focused and precise, yet the heavy darkness remains unbroken.

New York, NY - 100,000 Americans and Iraqis killed since 2003. Over 5,000 dead in the Second Intifada in Palestine. 300,000 dead, including hundreds of thousands of women and children, in Darfur. New York-based hard electro outfit FGFC820 utilizes music not only to raise awareness, but also hopefully to elicit response from their followers. Formed in 2004 as a collaboration of two of NYC's top DJs, Rexx Arkana and Drcos, FGFC820 menaces the global club scene with their harsh blend of heavy, bombastic beats and aggressively delivered political vitriol. After their successful debut album, 'Urban Audio Warfare', the band now returns with their sophomore release, 'Law & Ordnance', an angry and antagonistic onslaught of heavily armed club anthems, all replete with Arkana's insistence on personal and civil accountability. Genocide Organ - Live In Japan (Tesco77) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

[CD/DVD edition] Japan has been a wasteland for German industrial and/or power-electronics bands for many years, but in 2003Genocide Organ entered the motherland of noise. Invited by Teito and MSBR, Genocide Organ played two remarkable shows in Tokyo. The first in a typical noise/hardcore club called 20000V, and the second at a small theatre called Die Pratze. Because of the two different locations and atmospheres, G.O. prepared two completely different sets. While the material at 20000V featured tracks from what was, at the time, the forthcoming album 'In-Konflikt', plus a selection of powerful, well-known tracks; the setlist at Die Pratze featured more calm and unreleased tracks integrated into a theatrical-type performance. Both gigs represent the repertoire of Genocide Organ, which makes this band more than just a phenomenon of one genre.

The two shows are presented here on DVD in their entirety, edited from three different camera angles by Frank Merten of Seismic Wave Factory, known for the visuals of Herbst9 and Land:Fire. The DVD is professionally mastered and features a fully animated menu.

In 2007, Genocide Organ returned to Tokyo for two more shows, both hosted at 20000V, and again, each show had a different setlist. The audio CD in this collection features a selection of the best tracks from both evenings. Many had never been released or played live before, while some old favorites appear here in completely different versions. The quality of the recording is amazing, and you will feel the full power of these two gigs.

[LP edition] The release contains the best tracks from the two G.O. Tokyo performances in 2007. All tracks live in Kouenji 20000V: 23/24 June 2007.

The LP comes housed in a gatefold sleeve with printed inner sleeve and an A2 poster.

Gnaw Their Tongues - Tsutomu Miyazaki (HLIO01) - Released 2010

Distributed Records

This is the follow up to the free Issei Sagawa EP from 2007. It's similar themed: this time another Japanese murderer. Gruesome and sick: Tsutomu Miyazaki.

Three tracks:
01. Erika. Cold. Cough. Throat. Rest. Death.
Uneasy droning low frequency horror with live drums. Dissonant high-end synth abuse.

02. Mari. Cremated. Bones. Investigate. Prove.
A continuation of the first track. The same atmosphere, slightly darker.

03. Tsutomu Miyazaki.
Intense low-fi metal clangs abuse. The idea was to capture the horrible scene's of Miyazaki's house.

Gnostic Gnomes - Zwergenlieder (RuR007) - Released 2007

Distributed Records

After two years of fervent toil in the Spirit Mountain, the Gnostic Gnomes finally present their epitaph to the abandoned 'Cabana Del Nan', one of the last holy places in our ever dissolving world, where the little ones, now in exile, once dwelt.

The four members of the band, who are in fact the vertically challenged alter-egos of Frl.Tost, J.Weber, Sofia E.R. and Laszlo P.S., crawl out of their secret cave under cover of the lengthening nights to tell us their strange winter tales. On 'Zwergenlieder', Bohemian combat-folk in old Novy Svet fashion meets Wermut's longing-for-ancient-times folktronics.

Sincere, basic and pure, like the works of the dwarves, smiths of old. In memoriam!

Golgatha - Tales Of Transgression & Sacrifice (CMI176) - Released 2007

Distributed Records

The French philosopher Georges Bataille serves as the inspiration for the new and third full-length album of the German ritual-folk-band :Golgatha:. After two acclaimed albums on the subject of heroism, ‘Tales of Transgression & Sacrifice’ marks a certain change of course in the music of :Golgatha: – in a psychonautic trip from ritual-drumming via multi-textured soundscapes up to catchy folk-songs this album appears even more sensual, erotic and fascinating than before.

The new album by German ritual-folk-band :Golgatha: will appeal to fans of apocalyptic folk, shamanistic soundscapes and gothic-mysticism alike.

Comes in a very exclusive DVD-sized digipack with 32 pages booklet.

Golgatha - The Waste Land (CMI198) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

'Waste Land' is the rare prequel to the acclaimed and successful 2008 album 'Sang Graal' (with Dawn & Dusk Entwined) inspired by T. S. Eliot’s enigmatic grail-poem 'The Waste Land' which works as a key metaphor for a spiritually dying world. On 'Waste Land' sinister and pessimistic soundscapes unfold and spread fragmented allusions and remarks on spiritual death and cultural clash. The symbolic name of :Golgatha: - which is the execution hill in Jerusalem where Jesus had been crucified - was never more fitting than in this early apocalyptic soundtrack for an Inner Cinema, carried by ritual drums, dark drones, mysterious sounds and sacred voices.

For this re-release the original sound was totally re-mastered and appears more powerful than ever before. The original artwork is added by bleak photos from the same era to complete the image. This CD contains two original versions of tracks later remixed by Dawn & Dusk Entwined for 'Sang Graal'.

Bonus tracks: two combined tracks from 'In The Crystal Cage'-compilation (2004) and 'Shred Your Skin' from the SAW II-soundtrack by Charlie Clouser (Trisol).

'Waste Land' is a terrifying soundtrack for the Kali Yuga, the darkest of ages.

Halo Manash - rASHnkaRA (KSTK004HM) - Released 2007

Distributed Records

Halo Manash, redrobed and clothed in ash, has completed a helical cycle: r.A.S.H.n.k.a-RA. Archaic sounds and visions from the heights and depths, elemental ambience and primal thundering. Various instruments such as horns, kanglings, bells, cymbals, drums, singing bowls, damaras, rattles, chimes, bones, selfmade instruments, vocals, voices, and the elemental sounds themselves give form to a work that is sometimes serene, sometimes fierce and chaotic.

Everything is in pairs: thus r.A.S.H.n.k.a-RA itself consists of two distinct creations/destructions:
'In 4 Elements' (dvd/video) was realized/received in 4 circulations of the sun and consists of 4 parts.
'In Polardual' (lp) is the dark twin, and was received/realized in 2 circulations of the sun, consisting of two parts.

HeatDeath - Un (Core073) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

Heatdeath's hellish third endeavor leaves no mortal soul untouched, a stretched horizon for humanoids who dwell in the sounds of Abruptum, Emit, Jim O'Rourke, Sunroof and classic 70's horror hysteria.

Six blasphemic cuts of corrupted data and contaminated files that circle like vultures around broken chipboards. Molded from the original chemical residue into an improved spacious Blade Runneresque landscape where cyborgs are dipped in vats of acid. A fractured sonic attack that questions the purpose of any technologically advanced civilization. From this moment on, we are at war. Andrew Broder and Tim Glenn reivent their own dismal creation, boldly bending time and injecting alien cells into their conscious void. Their third black oath of titanium plated nighttime buzz reveals strings of abomination and a vulgar in-your-face production where guitars are laced with barbwire and drumkicks sound like mortars.

Hermann Kopp - Under A Demon's Mask (Gal021) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

Everybody who has seen the Buttgereit films Nekromantik 1+2 and Todesking has heard of Hermann Kopp. The music he wrote and performed for them is ever-present, pervading the atmosphere and has contributed considerably to the advancement of these films into classics. He still retains to this day his exceptional musical ability, and proves it yet again. Galakthorrö is proud to be able to present 13 new songs from the nekrodramatist: more than 40 minutes of new material, which today – just as it did then – has as its core his dissonantly tempered and individualistic violin playing. Combined with electronics, a host of weird instruments and metal percussion he creates an unequalled gruesome opus, carried by an effectively conceived minimalism, and the most beautiful and haunting Angst melodies imaginable. So morbid and wonderful in fact, that we have to ask ourselves how we could manage to survive for so long without any new material from Hermann Kopp – and which demons were riding him that he had to keep us waiting so long.

His Divine Grace - Bach Eingeschaltet, Erster Band (RuR008) - Released 2007

His Divine Grace and the notorious Ditterich Von Euler-Donnersperg present the first volume in a series of electronic Johann-Sebastian Bach interpretations on Reue Um Reue. The inimitable voice of Euler Donnersperg reading parts of 'Also sprach Zarathustra' and the messianic switched-on-Bach drones of Moonchild Erik almost shed a Christian light on the 'born to be sick' and definitely 'born too late' anti-philosopher. A piece of heaven only for the chosen few...

Horologium - Earthbound (OECD107) - Released 2008

The 3rd full-length album from Horologium offering 43 minutes of monumental, fierce, yet listenable music. Aided by Troy Southgate, Maria Southgate, Merissa D'Erlette and Eustacia Vye on vocals, Grzegorz Siedlecki takes you on a Nietzschean trip once again. Postindustrial dirt meets martial drums, opera arias and neoclassical sublimity.

Do you remain true to the Earth? Some of the lyrics include fragments from Hesse, Nietzsche and Spengler.

'Earthbound' may also be perceived as an antidote to a slowly emerging neo-christian scene within the postindustrial/martial paradigm. Horologium scorn fanatics.

Hyios - Consuetudines (TumorCD40) - Released 2009

The alluring debut from Leipzig Germany's Hyios offers 7 lengthy compositions of cold ritual drones, arching trajectories, and visceral descents into subterranean caverns, where rich, kinetic textures and deep resonant tones move and morph in a fluid, serpentine fashion, sprinkled with the debris of an ancient culture and something more otherworldly and primordial. Leipzig has historically proven to be fertile ground for dark ambient and Consuetudines continues in the fine tradition set forth by such notable acts as Inade and Herbst9. Isolrubin BK (Lustmord) - Crash Injury Trauma (SOL151) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

'Crash Injury Trauma' is a shocking and disturbing album, unflinching and relentless in its fascination with violent car accidents. Tires skid and horns blare, followed by the sickening sounds of crashing metal and shattering glass, screams, sirens and heart-pounding bass. It’s a cruel, sadistic and horrifying tour de force in the ambient and power electronics genre.

B. Lustmord released 'Crash Injury Trauma' in 1993, as a side project, under the pseudonym Isolrubin BK. Following “Heresy” and “The Monstrous Soul”, and preceding “The Place Where The Black Stars Hang”, the album was recorded during what is now considered a pivotal period in the British artist’s career. Out of print for nearly a decade, this new 2009 edition has been remastered from the ground up, and is presented in completely redesigned packaging.

Jakob - Solace (Core066) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

Transient insomnia lasts from days to weeks. Hailing from Napier, New Zealand, Jakob evoke a shimmering beauty that leaves you dazed, as if you'd been staring at the sun for a full hour. Spaceous riffs and subtle passages that function as a portal into another dimension. They gradually shift and sink into deeper waters, with every drumbreak and throbbing groove, they push their space-rock submarine forward. High on octane and rock backbone, yet mystically soaked in an underwater diet of painkillers.

This album is strong like Hercules and undoubtly works best at high volumes, as this transcending post three-piece take it up a notch, while every track fades in and out like a wave, yet never failing to leave behind a new piece of the bigger, solarized puzzle. And every single time the hammer drops, you sink further in a coma. A pure ode to solar power that combines the hypnotizing rhythms of vintage krautrock with the no-go-just-slow slash of post-rock. Jakob heavily rely on echo, hums and resonating drones to shape a hovering instrumental trip that captivates with gentle bliss.

There's a distinct 70's production feel, no blatant brainscrape but the one that stops the clock and dictates riffs of ravishing and eternal gloom. A deeper shade of tormented soul for folks that get magical to Boris, Isis, Tarentel, Brian Eno, Spiritualized and Boards Of Canada. Their live intensity has grasped listeners by the throat when supporting the likes of Isis, Pelican, Mono, The Hidden Hand and former Can frontman Damo Suzuki. The beast is free. Time to drift offshore.

Jesus And The Gurus - Blood, Sweat And Tears (BR056) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

"We are the Band from the Chocolate Land, we are the pride of Switzerland“.

These truthful words let us think of an egocentrical band. And that's what Jesus And The Gurus make us believe with their new cd 'Blood, Sweat And Tears'. Jesus And The Gurus bring a new musical direction to their fans. Harder, louder, even more cynical and aggressive. A mixture of industrial (like Einstürzende Neubauten – Test Dep.), metal (Ministry, Rammstein) and harsh-electro(Feindflug, NIN) melt to a storm of noise, a machinery of apocalypse. Also known as sound, their songs are the weapons of mankind. Jesus And The Gurus are as ironical and cynical as never before. The result of this statement is to be heard in their lyrics. They still speak of all the themes unspoken. Jesus and the Gurus never capitulate.

The Finnish pioneer is back from the degenerated and alcoholized Swedish ghetto of Eskilstuna. Filled with what has defined Karjalan Sissit's sound thus far; bombastic outbursts of neoclassical arrangements entwined in traditional Finnish Humppa and deep industrial sonorities.

The songs were this time fiercly enhanced with some added vocals giving the whole album a much more agressive touch. Again produced by Peter Bjärgö at Erebus Odora, this new album definitely stands above it's predecessors.

Having started the process way back in 2002, this collaborative project between Swedish powerhouse Nordvargr and US apocalyptic industrialists Navicon Torture Technologies finally sees the light (so to speak) in 2008, having been re-worked and re-structured as a perilous 40 minute plunge into a black hole of sound. Waves of grim, doom filled atmospheric sludge crossbred with buzzing black drones, grinding distortion, and a seething underbelly of rhythmic pulsations, ultimately delivering everything you might expect from these two giants of the industrial scene. In 6 panel digipak, with extreme and controversial, Jonathan Canady designed artwork sure to be banned if it falls into the wrong hands.

Lacus Somniorum - Tideshaper (CL22) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

Splendid collaborative work between Gustaf Hildebrand and Amanda Votta, Lacus Somniorum emerged as a mutual desire to convey a suggestive concept of what lies hidden and unseen by the eyes of modern civilization--beneath the waves in murky chasms, or perhaps in places not anchored within our concept of reality. Airy flutes and choirs hover above sometimes distant, rumbling sound textures, hinting of corroded machinery and unseen presences but also emphasizing a sense of serenity and peace of mind. The underlying concept is not fear of the unknown, but rather of a hidden beauty within those places where none of us will ever venture.

A neo-classical or post-nocturnal piece, 'Musique Du Crépuscule' has many different faces. Life Cried - Banished Psalms (NTK034) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

Haunting, beautiful, and intense are several words that can describe Life Cried’s sophomore album, the follow-up to the band’s critically acclaimed 2006 release Drawn & Quartered. Bandleader Chris Reject continues to push the boundaries of personal expression with his unique mix of introspective lyrics fused with dark electro and classical gothic influences. After founding the band in 1999, Reject worked on his debut for five years before choosing to release it; he spent three years working on the songs that would become Banished Psalms. Listeners get a rare glimpse into the mind of this eccentric front man, with tales of personal strife, love, and addiction carefully interwoven with an underlying theme of loss of faith.

Maninkari - Art Des Poussieres (Core069) - Released

Distributed Records

Hide your sorrow and cover your eyes. Maninkari continues to dwell in medieval alchemy, delivering yet another organic instrumental voyage. Bodies are turned inside out and brave souls are free to roam the plagued battlefields. A ritual psychedelic cleansing that plays like a chapter of a forgotten esoteric book, obscure yet spiced with cinematic romance and blood drama. Stretched strings, metal clatter, bells and chains form an eerie trance inducing carpet that inspires and drags the listener down in a radiant sea of darkness.

In short terms the best thing to rise from the French ashes since what seems like forever. Hypnotic minimalism for folks that dig holes listening to Pelt, Vibracathedral Orchestra, Henry Flynt, The Necks and Nurse With Wound.

Maninkari - Psychoide/Participation Mystic (Core053) - Released 2007

Distributed Records

This is the debut EP from Maninkari. Operating out of Paris, this band is gonna be high priority for Conspiracy Records. We were awestruck upon receiving their first demos, and decided to recruit Justin Broadrick (Final, Techno Animal, Godflesh, Jesu) and Robin Rimbaud (Scanner, Githead) to do a remix of two amazing Maninkari pieces. The result is a very cinematic, mesmerising warm piece of music.

Psychoide; A gorgeous soft cacophony of epic post rock drift and minimal jazzy shuffle. Dense drumming, frenzied strings, wound into tense soundscapes of slow burning shimmer. Godspeed plays the Dirty Three, or maybe Angus Maclise jamming with Chris Corsano, dark and druggy, some sort of glorious mantra-like minimalist dronejazz, with a super cinematic Phillip Glass like coda...

Participation Mystic; Lilting pizzicato strings, underpinned by deep soft swells of shimmering warmth and distant bits of industrial clatter, a slow burning ambient drift that is eventually joined by a simple motorik rhythm, transforming the pulsing ambience into something jazzy and minimal, propulsive and hypnotic, channeling the spirit of Finnish hypnorockers Circle and minimal dronejazz combo the Necks... and again near the end, everything enveloped by intense swarms of frenetic strings...

Merzbow - Eucalypse (Sol154) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

The Tasmanian Blue Gum tree, Eucalyptus Globulus, is native to Tasmania and southern Australia. Eucalyptus trees are uniquely suited to the varied ecologies of Australia, and there is no other continent more closely associated with one genus of tree. Its leaves are the food of choice of the koala, and its flowers attract bees and hummingbirds. Out of approximately 300 identified species, Blue Gums are now the eucalyptus most frequently found in other parts of the world. Throughout the tropics they are known for their ability to dry out swampy areas, making them a valuable weapon in the fight against malaria, a disease caused by parasites carried in female Anopheles mosquitos, which breed in standing water. Eucalyptus Globulus was first brought to India in the late 18th century. Large plantations were establish in Kerala in 1863, but other than small amounts of oil distilling, little use has been made of the fast growing trees. Instead, they have thrived in the moist, foggy hills, spreading far across the landscape and transforming the ecosystem in the process. With their deep roots they lower water tables, depriving native species of the moisture necessary to survive the annual dry season, while the anti-bacterial properties of the 'blue gum' secretions they drop on the soil further suppress the germination and growth of other plants. An ancient and intricate web of life has been disrupted, and native plants, insects and animals are being driven to extinction. Humans, who have long been a part of the local ecosystem, are adaptable and will survive, but the biodiversity of an entire region is under threat from a single exotic species.

This release comes in a hand-crafted round wooden box with screenprinted swiveling lid. The box contains one CD and four full-color cards. Only 1000 copies of this handsome CD have been made, and there will be no follow-up editions released.

File under: drone/doom!

Hail the dawn of the new era. Although the human soul was sometimes symbolically or literally depicted in ancient cultures as a bird or other animal, it was widely held that the soul was an exact reproduction of the body in every feature. Monno have come a long way, extending their malignant nature through thick layers of fog. Collecting the footprints they've left to musically outshine the past. For this new burial they've built a soundtrack like creeper with traces of gargling glass and atonal spheres that swing through the tracks like unidentified floating objects in the sky.

Muslimgauze - Alms For Iraq (SOL129) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

Bryn Jones, AKA Muslimgauze, recorded this album in December 1995, just three years before his early and unexpected death at the age of 37. In the last years of his life Bryn acquired as much of the latest technology for his home studio as he could lay his hands on, and the advances and developments in his music reflected his growing proficiency with his new equipment.

'Alms For Iraq' therefore has many of the hallmark sounds of the late-era Muslimgauze recordings already released, with abrupt starts and stops, swooping transitions and layer upon layer of samples and rhythms.

There are nevertheless still plenty of surprises. Ever the groundbreaker, Bryn never recorded the same album twice.

Muslimgauze - Mazar-i-Sharif (SOL70) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

'Mazar-i-Sharif' is to polite society what a dozen angry Rotweillers are to a cafe full of poodles: An explosion. The diamond collars scatter across the tiles and the fur turns red as the perfectly clipped poodle-butts are torn apart by a pack of rabid Jerry Springer Spaniels. Your politically correct end-of-thecentury tea party is officially OVER, and anyone thinking Muslimgauze is about to make a calculated move to new age radio should call a taxi right now because the missiles are already in the air.

From the intense noise-and-rhythm barrage to the shocking cover image of a young boy with amputated arms, there is no part of this compact disc that will not offend someone. Yes, of course there are groovy Middle Eastern beats, and music loops are top notch as usual, and the true die-hard fans of Muslimgauze will not be disappointed, but we expect that there will be fewer of them after they hear this record.

Muslimgauze - Uzi Mahmood (SOL161) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

Bryn Jones died January 14, 1999. The man best known as Muslimgauze was 37 years old, and at the peak of his career. During his short life he recorded an astonishing number of albums, some 200 at last count, a great many of them in years immediately preceding his death. Indeed, his output was so great that his labels couldn’t keep up with the virtual flood of music he produced. It’s no wonder new material continues to surface so long after his passing.

“Uzi Mahmood” was recorded to satisfy a specific request. Soleilmoon wanted a 12 inch single that DJs could play in nightclubs. The idea was to introduce Muslimgauze to a potentially enormous new audience. The request was made in the autumn of 1999, in a phone call lasting less than five minutes; Bryn was never one for small talk. He was all business, and he could record a complete album in three or four days, sometimes faster. Two weeks after agreeing to record a disco album for Soleilmoon, “Uzi Mahmood” was delivered to the label. But instead of the agreed on two or three tracks, he sent an eleven song compact disc, followed a week later by a 90 minute digital audio tape containing the entire CD plus two more pieces. Four songs were eventually selected for the experiment, and in the spring of 1998 a dirty-and-dubby 12" EP was released. Two more songs were later used to replace a pair of corrupted tracks on the master tape for “Hussein Mahmood Jeeb Tehar Gass”, released on CD in 1999. The music was well received by fans, but the hoped-for dance floor revolution never happened, and the little record with the unconventional beats went out of print a few years later.

Fast forward to the present: The year is 2009 and the four song EP has been out of print for more than five years, seven more songs lie waiting in the vault, still unreleased, and the two tracks tacked onto “Hussein Mahmood Jeeb Tehar Gass” are the only ones
in wide circulation. Which is why Soleilmoon is so very pleased to finally be releasing all thirteen songs together on one record. “Uzi Mahmood” is 90 minutes of the sexiest, most booty-shakin’ Muslimgauze music ever heard. It stretches luxuriously across three LPs – two running at 33 RPM and one at 45 RPM – presented in a lavish, no-expense-spared gatefold jacket, and is limited to 500 copies. Shocking cover art and design has been furnished by the fine folks at Plazm, again, already, of course.

The sole member of New Risen Throne is known as Stielh, and is one of the Grand Masters of blackened dark ambient coming from Italy recently (see also Vestigial). His exceptional black foreboding ambient creations is wellknown in the scene by now. The previous NRT release 'Whispers Of The Approaching Wastefulness' represented the steps leading to the acknowledgment of the approaching end of all things... This new chapter 'Crossing The Withered Regions' is the journey through wasted "regions" of our inner self, withered by our doubts, thoughts and fear about the end. This is the soundtrack to the world we live and experience at the very present. This is utterly dark and there is certainly no sun in the horizon. Slit your wrists and float away...

Niedowierzanie - Niedowierzanie (RUR009) - Released 2008

In spite of all their growing differences, there are still hidden places, elusive dimensions where East and West meet. For instance in the highly introspective music of the Marseille/Berlin based solo project NIEDOWIERZANIE, presenting here its first official album in the shape of five long instrumental pieces of neo-classical sound sculptures.

Flirting both with IDM and contemporary music, mixing organic compositions (using a wide range of string, wind and self-made instruments) with electronic cut-ups and field recordings from the artist's native Marseille and his extensive journeys through India, these intense, complex and luminous crescendos evoke the works of artists as diverse as Coil, Mirror, Miasto Nie Spalo and Arvo Pärt.

Nordvargr - Evolution (OECD116) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

This is the new double album, and possibly the last, that will be released as Nordvargr. Henrik has expressed that he has nothing left to give as a darkambient composer, so this might be his final stand.

Disc one of Evolution is firmly rooted in classic Nordvargr territories - darkambient but with a slight MZ.412 touch, as it has some more bombastic and noisy elements to it than what we are used to hearing from him.

Disc two is divided into two parts - first 8 tracks from the AVART sessions (Music For Movement). Part two is four tracks which are more elektronika-styled tracks, and show another side of his personality.

Evolution is best described in Nordvargr“s own words: "Evolution contains elements of music I have recorded over the last ten years as well as completely new material.
If you are familiar with my previous albums you will find sounds you have heard before, but in a new setting. But Evolution is not to be confused with a 'best of' album - it is a distilled and refined album of my inner visions and feelings, filtered through my past to show the future, and possibly the end."

Partly based on an old Swedish folktale, Pyrrhula ('doomlord') is a pitch black journey into utter darkness. This is a tale of foreboding doom... a portent of dark times to come... a blight on the face of this earth. These eight Black Ambient / Doom / Droneworks were brought forth from the abyss of Villa Bohult exclusively for Cold Spring and contain the malevolent vocals of Lord Nordvargr (MZ.412, Folkstorm, Toroidh) himself!

'Beware the small creatures of light, they only bring misery and death upon the enlightened ones. For they will paint their breast with blood and reap your unborn angels.'

Novalis Deux - Ghosts Over Europe (AMD018) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

It has been more than 3 years and it took a huge amount of artistic effort and studio work - but now it is done - the new album of Novalis Deux is finished. After their previous album "Paradise...?" had convinced both the fans and the critics, the new album 'Ghosts over Europe' is a masterpiece that stands for the increased musical und artistical skills Novalis Deux can again convince with. Still being dark-folk at its base, the band mixes lots of genres creating an album that cannot be put into any single genre at all. Songs like 'Sleeping Violin', 'Homecoming', 'Passing By' or 'Rome' will find their place in the fans and critics minds for sure. In addition to the two main members of the band Stev (lyrics) and Marcel (keyboards), Novalis Deux has two new members - Mathias (Drums) and Jojo (Piano, Guitar) who both contribute their skills to the new sound, which makes clear that this is a band we can expect more from in the future. It comes packaged in a premium copper-embossed digipack.

Novy Svet - Todas Las Primeras Cosas (RUR010) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

Some months ago J. Weber announced the official death of NOVY SVET, one of the most significant projects of the second post-industrial generation and for many a true European legend. Time for us to look back on the very beginnings of the band, try to hear and feel how the story that is about to end came to be. We are very proud to present this collection of early songs, first Bohemian blooms which already carry in their core the drunken magic, the inimitable bitter sweet flavour, the slow poison which later distilled itself in Rumorarmonio, Faccia A Faccia, Cuori Di Petrolio and Chappaqua.

All tracks have been restored from the original tapes and appear here for the first time on vinyl. Included is a selection of the rare and much sought-after demo tracks released in the 90s' on NOVY SVET’s own tape-label JUNGES WIEN, as well as completely unreleased archive material from the recording sessions of the first three albums. A unique opportunity to hear those lost jewels, once cast aside and yet which so deserve to finally be known to a wider audience.

Already sold-out from the label, we don't expect them to last long.

Novy Svet - Todas Las Ultimas Cosas (TUT011) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

Mission terminated. Coming full circle after the 'Todas Las Primeras Cosas' 2LP released a couple of months ago, Treue Um Treue now present the long-awaited, long-overdue last Novy Svet album. Do not expect the Bohemian Combat Folk or Mediterranean Neo-Cabaret which have become the band’s trademark... as willful and unpredictable today as they ever were, Novy Svet deliver with their last opus what might also be the biggest tour de force of their career: 'Todas Las Ultimas Cosas' is an uncompromising, all-electronic minimal wave opus; quite unlike what even the hardcore fans will have heard from the band before. An album which would fit more appropriately in the 'flexi-pop' than in the 'post-industrial' section of your record-shelves. And yet J. Weber’s unmistakable sweet-sour Spanish vocals are still here and there's much to bet they will stick in your head even more than they ever did. 100% electro, 100% Novy Svet: the Viennese band seal their career with a flourish.

O Quam Tristis - Les Chants Funestes (PO25W) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

O Quam Tristis have mastered their art with 'Les Chants Funestes' and have delivered an eloquent fourth album of inspiring music. Female and male vocal polyphonies inspired by music going from the Middle Age down to the Baroque Era using acoustic traditional or medieval instrumentation and modern electronics in harmony, without losing the sacral and medieval character of their music. Synthesizers and bass guitar join the electronic rhythms, contributing a rock and liturgical feeling to the compositions based on ancient secular and liturgical poetries. 'Les Chants Funestes' delves more deeply into rock and electronic influences than their previous albums. Emeric Lenotz, Katrina Koslowska, Tomek Ashkenazy Isaac, Anna Virsky and Hugues Dammarie (Collection d'Arnell-Andrea, Thy Violent Vanities) will capture your attention and hold it throughout their music.

Oren Ambarchi - In The Pendulum's Embrace (Sunn78) - Released 2007

Distributed Records

By now Mr. Ambarchi should be no stranger to the initiated drone fiends as his unmistakable tonal presence has permeated many Southern Lord releases in the last few years. Most notable were his contributions to the 'Black One' album by Sunn0))) but he is also involved with the 0))) related trios: Grave Temple and Burial Chamber Trio. Oren Ambarchi continues his otherworldly investigations with In The Pendulums Embrace, a kind of dark twin to his landmark 2004 album 'Grapes From The Estate'. Returning again to the hallowed halls of BJB Studios in Sydney, Ambarchi expands the scope and range of his unique musical language, incorporating an even broader pallette of instruments and sensibilities. Despite the use of glass harmonica, strings, bells, piano, percussion and guitars, its startling that the world created is still unmistakably his own, and that there is such a cohesion of vision throughout the albums three lengthy pieces. With this record theres an even more tenuous coexistence of fragility and density; sounds as light as air mingling with wall shaking low-end.

Orthodox - Amanecer En Puerta Oscura (Sunn84) - Released 2007

Distributed Records

In December 2006, Orthodox recorded this, their second album 'Amanecer En Puerta Oscura'. The album helps give a new perspective into the soul of the music they create as well as its movement into several different directions. 'Amanecer En Puerta Oscura' comes off like a trip crossing through different genres, where jazz influences, collide with progressive sounds and ultra-heavy, crushing metallic-punk experiments. At the same time the band has not forgotten their true metal roots and Andalusian cultural origins. The use of new instrumentation (clarinet, trumpet, contrabass), fits naturally with the band's original sound yet opens a new window in order to see the light within their dark musical concept. Orthodox are continually searchinng for new and diverse forms of music expressions, 'Amanecer En Puerta Oscura' is a logical manifestation of their current "discoveries" during this quest.

Panic Lift - Witness To Our Collapse (NTK032) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

Absolutely essential, Panic Lift's newest album is a monumental collection of songs, nearly any of which could stand on their own as singles. With the concussive force of a runaway supercollider, Panic Lift exploded onto the industrial music scene in 2006.

Word of mouth and their live shows across the Northeast and California saw the self released EP quickly sell out, leaving fans waiting in anticipation of a full-length album. And now NoiTekk Records is pleased to release 'Witness To Our Collapse', a masterpiece of storming beats, memory-searing hooks and flawless production. Equally destructive on the dance floor as it is with more reflective listening, this album is a testament to the ideology that industrial music can be both agressive and epic, as well as carefully crafted.

Featuring more than a couple of surprises, this is not an album to be missed, and will set the bar irretrievably high for other acts in the EBM and electro-industrial scene.

Passione Nera - Research EP (CMI185) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

Passione Nera has evolved from a folk-pop creature into a fully-fledged chamber-pop ensemble. The band keeps one watery alcoholic eye fixed on the cinematic tradition, with melodic landscapes that are dusty and melancholic. These melodious scenes are then wrapped up in lush, orchestrated songs with acoustic and electric guitars taking the center stage, and additionally enhanced by a large array of other instruments. It is as if these songs were written on the backs of 1960s postcards brought back from some imaginary journey into “Americana”, then bred with French-pop, cross-fertilized with baroque-pop, and finally molded into a soundtrack for the broken-hearted, the disenchanted and the misunderstood.

Phaenon - Submerged (TumorCD30) - Released 2007

Distributed Records

With the debut release from Phaenon, it is immediately evident a heavyweight has arrived. The brainchild of Polish born, but current Maryland resident, Szymon Tankiewicz, Submerged is a dark ambient tour de force. Visually and sonically enveloping, this is an album of space and texture, slowly revealing a psychoactive soundscape of majestic, arcing timbres, circadian buzzes, and expansive drones. Heavy, and cosmically weighty in the beginning, Submerged evolves into something more minimalist and serene, radiating a celestial beauty, yet becoming even more bleak and suffocating as it progresses over it's 66 minute time frame. Experienced from start to finished, there's a palpable sense of drifting and drowning, of being carried away into an endless, interstellar vacuum. An exciting new project, and a must for dark ambient purists.

Puissance - Back In Control (EQM011) - Released 2007

Distributed Records

Following the awe-inspiring debut "Let Us Lead", Puissance would return a couple of years later to unleash "Back In Control", a cynical tribute to human evolution and how such evolution inevitably seems to dictate the end of the world and mankind's own extinction. The impending man-made apocalypse of which Söderlund obsessively narrates is superbly illustrated by epic martial compositions, to which the pace is set by loud marching drums and industrial percussion. A compelling work of art, that would bring industrial music to a new climax thanks to the glorious neo-classical arrangements that Puissance have developed for the album.

Puissance - Grace Of God (EQM017) - Released 2007

Distributed Records

The cogwheels on the Puissance warmachine are back to work, as defiant and innovative as ever. "Grace Of God" re-invents the current notion of martial-pop, with their own superior combination of sumptuous neo-classical and industrial music.

Three years after "State Collapse", the cogwheels on the Puissance-warmachine have been fine-tuned and put to work again, in a crushing motion that seems to be as defiant and innovative as ever. Forerunners in blending post-industrial soundscapes with seemingly Wagnerian inspired classical scores, the Swedish duo's controversial portrayal of human life often tends to raise a mix of conflicting feelings towards them.

In keeping with such tradition, this return by Puissance serves as a lucid statement on current world affairs. In Söderlund's own words, "Grace of God" is partially meant as a commentary on contemporary events both social and political. Our goal is to inform yet retain a poetic undertone to frame our analysis of world politics and objectives. This album focusses heavily on the foreign policy of western civilizations, particularly inspired by neoconservatives and other proponents of economically based genocides in third world countries. Rather than subscribing to any political agenda, Puissance stands out as artists against the political and financial motives that have led up to numerous unresolvable conflicts that are on the verge of plunging us into the third world war.

Puissance - Mother Of Disease (EQM021) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

In the year 1999, while mankind sat unnaware of their fate and wondering if the moon would drift away into the far reaches of space as the XXth century came to an end, Puissance would reappear, clad in shining armour.

With the industrial rust of early days properly polished, the Swedish duo would further explore their talent for graceful arrangements set to militaristic neo-classical music. Following the overtly confrontational offerings of 'Let Us Lead' and 'Back In Control', Puissance were now set to resurrect the ghosts of the Cold War and the obsession with all things thermonuclear that haunted the planet - the Mother of Disease as they would call it. Brooding hymns to suicidal heroism, devotional praises to a new god that would finally bring closure to the human race, the screeching of metal twisting and melting - all of this would find its place in Puissance's own beautiful vision of the impending apocalypse that they so ingeniously depicted on 'Mother Of Disease'.

'Mother Of Disease' is the third full length album produced by Puissance and also their third re-issue on Equilibrium Music following the early 'Let Us Lead' and 'Back In Control' releases and last year's new album, 'Grace of God'. Much like its predecessors on this fine collection, it has been re-mastered and enhanced with one bonus track, and comes packaged in a matte-blue deluxe digipack edition.

Raison D'Etre - The Stains Of The Embodied Sacrifice (CMI202) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

'The Stains Of The Embodied Sacrifice' is not only vibrating on the surface of your skin. It is alive and breathing, a creature with a knife that cuts deep wounds in your body while your soul shatters for air. It is a psychosomatic and transgressive disease oppressed by a compulsive behaviour manifested in dualities - the one of your body and mind - and states of metamorphoses - mind becomes flesh become wounds become fluids become stains. Play it loud if you want to become the martyr. Play it low if you are the innocent victim. There are no levels in-between. Violent and intense, it is a hell of an ordeal. But withstand and you are promised bliss.

Rome - Flowers From Exile (TRI362CD) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

Into the heart… With 'Flowers From Exile', the Luxembourgish folk formation ROME surpass their work to date. Just as early releases were apocalyptic and aggressive in nature, the expressionistically-tinged CD 'Masse Mensch Material' could be said to have a revealed inner vision. ROME’s universe was expanded by proud resignation and sweet melancholy.

'Flowers From Exile' is just as much an emotional as a critical work. The personally stamped album of a modern singer-songwriter which tells of journeys both within and without. Jerome Reuter’s moving vocals and Patrick Damiani’s complex musical arrangements leave the musical roots of folk far behind and send these ‘flowers from exile’ to all listeners who are willing and capable of feeling the dignity, the hope and the pride behind the lyrics and who are prepared to recognise themselves in those restless spirits whom the twelve part song cycle conjures up. Into the heart…

Sektor 304 - Soul Cleansing (TumorCD43) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

Equipped with a frightening and impressive array of primitive instrumentation pulled from junkyards and scrap metal heaps, this Portuguese outfit has delivered an astounding formal debut – a heady mixture of truly old school industrial in the vein of Einsturzende Neubauten, Test Dept , and S.P.K , and the grinding, bass heavy dirge of vintage Swans and Godflesh. These are anthems to the past, but geared towards an apocalyptic and bleak future… a form of counter-culture using what is most evident in modern western society: the debris, the abandoned objects, the waste, the noise, and the interference.

With a solid foundation of rusty, oil drenched percussion, Sektor 304 adds layer upon layer of squalling industrial clangor, hammering metallic noise, grimy atmospheres, heaving masses of haunted factory drones, and threatening tribal batter, with a strong and commanding vocal presence. The sound here is almost physical in nature – provocative, persistent, and demanding. No one is doing what Sektor 304 is doing right now. Anyone into TRUE industrial (and that includes not just the aformentioned old guard, but also things like Strom.ec, Navicon, Knifeladder and so many other things) really should not miss out.

Sinke Dus - Akrasia (CL19) - Released 2007

Distributed Records

Akrasia is an old question dealing with the weakness of the will. To behave "akratically" is when one acts against his better judgement, committing acts that are known to be wrong but yet still going through with the motion. Markus Lonebrink wanted to explore not so much the philosophical issues at hand, but rather the subjective experience of akrasia itself. To learn of the underlying motives of when one acts akratically. Certain events in the akratic process felt natural to him and it was those he tried to integrate into these soundscapes. There are no conclusions described in the music, but there might be a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel and perhaps the shadow of a hint of why we humans sometimes act as irrationally as we do. A shared quest to gain better knowledge of oneself through this self-revisionistic ambient journey filled with ethereally lush passages that give way to a truly visionary and immersive experience.

The album also features a special collaboration with Pär Bostrom of Kammarheit. Presented in a foldout gatefold cardboard sleeve.

Stahlwerk 9 - Revolution Of The Antichrist (SK43) - Released 2007

Distributed Records

Stahlwerk 9's new dark/death ambient manifestation 'R.O.T.A.' is a more subdued and ritual incantation compared to his more recent works. 'R.O.T.A.' can be compared to his earlier albums 'Oradour' and '1905', but a lot more sacral. Deep, subliminal rhythms, heavy organ sounds and ominously droning soundscapes guide you to your private Armageddon. A black soundtrack to the end of the world... The stunning artwork for 'R.O.T.A' consists of a deluxe folder in 7" size, holding 10 large inlays on heavy cardbord. All paintings on the folder and the inlays were drawn by the Russian artist Alexander Nemkovsky who also worked with Peter Anderson (Raison d'Etre ). Nice packaging!

Stalnoy Pakt & Anthesteria - Dedicated To The Russo-Japanese War (IST044CD) - Released 2007

Distributed Records

This split release is a commemoration of one of the most tragic pages of Russian history in the XXth century – the Russo-Japanese War. This lost war became a deep scar in the national consciousness of that period and turned out to be among the most painful and powerful incentives to the following first Russian revolution (1905) and further eventual decline of the Russian monarchy. This CD is a try to revive the deep anxiety and the premonition of the upcoming relentless social shock which have overwhelmed the Russian nation in those times.

Stalnoy Pakt presents maybe their most melodic tracks to date here, the distinctive band’s multi-layered dark ambient is melted with old military Japanese song samples and old Russian lyrics narrations, sometimes adorned with piano chords or martial drums.

Anthesteria’s cold gloomy tunes combined with choir chants and gramophone record samples aggravate the atmosphere of the dull waiting for the imminent disaster.

The album is concluded with authentic historical recording of the classic track of the period called 'Na Sopkakh Manchzhurii' performed by a very famous singer of that time Mikhail Vavich. This funeral waltz dedicated to the victims of this war drives the overall feel of despair and grief up to the highest limit. The album could be compared to the best examples of history inspired works such as LJDLP early releases, but with its own very special purely Russian depressive mood. An absolute must!

The release comes in a special A5 folder package with a lot of inserts and limited to 500 copies.

Strings Of Consciousness & Angel - Strings Of Consciousness & Angel (Core072) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

The whole sound project redesigns with fluidity a certain form of contemporary noise. It is quite both warm and delicate, away from the traditional noisy tempest attached to this musical genre. However, you have to embark on a musical voyage to allow this noisy delicacy slowly make its way into your body instead of violently exploding onto your face. The more attention you'll bestow on that record, the more unsuspected new paths you'll be invited to wander about.

An intricacte and imaginative soundtrack with several layers of sound, gathering both organic and sonic elements to assemble a post-industrial sound structure. The latter will give life to a noisy magma where unexpected clicks stumble over interferences, where digital accidents happen and where drones, acoustic resonance fill the space in time. A multitude of digital notes will slowly stretch to reach a dark-grey chaos, a pure and clean big bang echoing and calling lost sound memories.

SunnO))) - Oracle (Sunn77) - Released 2007

Distributed Records

ORAKULUM was originally composed for a live performance collaboration with the New York sculptor Banks Violette at the Maureen Paley Gallery in London, June of 2006. Violette created sculptural representation of SUNN O)))s entire backline in cast resin and salt, including amplifier stacks, instruments, effects & accompaniments. In addition, black laquered stage platforms and sound panels were created as a basis for the groups actual backline setup, and a selection of drawings were presented within the context. The result of this performance and collaboration, which was conducted in a sealed gallery space, was intended to generate a feeling of absence, loss and a phantom of what once was. The A side of this lp: BELUROL PUSZTIT was also recorded at this session. Initially this song was created for the 'Jukebox Buddha' compilation as it features the use of the tone generating Buddha Boxes within the track. In the style of Sunn0))) these boxes were run through the sunn backline and recorded at maximum volume which of course yielded maximum results! BELUROL PUSZTIT also features extra 'instrumentation' from Atsuo Mizuno (Boris) on drums and Joe Preston (Earth, Melvins, Thrones) on jackhammer.

SunnO))) & Boris - Altar (Sunn62) - Released 2007

Distributed Records

The first collaboration between Southern Lord's two kingpins of avant- metal, 'Altar' is surely the most eagerly-anticipated extreme music release for some time. The wedding of Sunn O)))'s brutal drone symphonies with Boris' kaleidoscopic noise results in a wholly unique album that alchemically merges familiar elements of each band's sound into a transfigured, mysterious whole; roaring drones rise and collapse beneath blasts of disorienting, warped horns, the end result a heaving, psychedelic mass that looks set to induct yet more devotees to the shadowy explorations of both acts. The album features various contributions from other artists, including Jess Sykes, who provides haunting, melodic vocals on 'Sinking Belle', Kim Thayil (Soundgarden) who contributes some enthralling guitar work to the album closer; and Joe Preston (Earth, Thrones, Melvins, High On Fire), whose psychedelic vocal style is present on 'Akuma Kuma'. The end result is a mind-blowing sludge of cathartic, blurred noise.

The Joy Of Nature - The Empty Circle Part I (Ahnstern31) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

The Joy Of Nature is a multimedia project from the Azores with music as its main focus. It was created in 1999 as The Joy of Nature And Discipline, and reduced to The Joy Of Nature in 2006 following a change in its sound - more organic and acoustic.

This album is about a world of disquiet, in which a catharsis should be done. To gather the impurities, realize their nature and build something pure from there. The music follows the concept - there are elements of folk, ambient, psychedelic and experimental music, mixed in a coherent way creating a unique sound and a breathtaking atmosphere, predominantly acoustic and with dark tones.

The Joy Of Nature - The Empty Circle Part II (Ahnstern38) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

'Rastos de Sangue e fragmentos da Tradiēćo' (Trails of Blood and fragments of The Tradition) is the second part of the trilogy 'The Empty Circle' by The Joy of Nature.

It reflects and gathers fragments of the Perennial Tradition. Naturally, it is also about the Spiritual inheritance of the Portuguese ancestors. Musically, it's the most song-orientated The Joy of Nature release until now, with its roots in the folk tradition of rural Portuguese regions (it includes three covers of traditional songs), especially the Azores.

The album is not just a Folk-album, it also has several amazing psychedelic moments. In this second part a lot more instruments were used and more musicians collaborated, like R. Coutinho, B. Ardo (Sangre Cavallum), Rui Almeida (Massa Śltima), Triarca,
Mara Neves and M.J.

Not only a reaction against the modern world, but also an alternative to this post-modern world.

The Moon & The Nightspirit - Osforras (EQM023) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

Returning with 'Ösforrįs', their third album, the Hungarian duo invite the listener to the star-woven realm of the wise elders, the ones who knew the secrets of nature and walked the path of light eternal, and embody on their new material a more tribal and exotic approach, in intense rituals dedicated to the old and eternal tradition.

This collection of songs, which feed from the Ösforrįs - the 'Source Pristine', the primordial womb, from which all has sprung, a sacred place where all is one - comes together as an offering to the slumbering gods of the old forests, streams and stones.
Weaving a web where threads of ancient mysticism combine with dreamy atmospheres, where World Music acquires a bewitching Pagan aura, The Moon and the Nightspirit live up to their potential as one of the most exciting and refreshing acts in the genre.

The Pussybats - Famous Last Songs (BR055) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

Finally the German alternative rockers The Pussybats are to release their long-awaited debut album 'Famous Last Songs' worldwide via Black Rain Records. It has been produced by Chai Deveraux (known as the guitarist of the industrial-glam-rock-band Jesus On Extasy) and Hahn&Hahn, a team who have already worked with acts like Nena, Kim Wilde and The Farmer Boys. The first full-length album is one of the milestones in every young band's career and it is apparent that a lot of heart, soul, sweat and tears have been put into every aspect of the production.

'The Most Beautiful Tales End Sadly', for example, features not only a contrabass, but also guest pianist and vocalist, Leandra. The songs as a whole are diverse - in between a goodbye kiss and a kick in the ass - but also follow a clear, straight line: emotions instead of academics, catchiness and rock'n'roll instead of arty gimmicks.

Or, as the band themselves put it: "And even if we'd been struck by lightning the very next day, we'd have known that we'd put everything into that record we had to offer and left a legacy to be proud of! These could indeed be our 'Famous Last Songs'."

When you buy this record you'll also gain access to an exclusive website packed with bonus content. A new music video is in production and is going on air at the beginning of 2009 - the song 'Your Woman', a cover of the mid 90s hit from White Town.

This Morn' Omina - Inferno (S32) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

Inferno... Amongst its meanings are 'an intense fire' as well as 'Hell'. But it is also the first chapter in Dante's 'Divine Comedy' and a film by Dario Argento. In other words: Inferno is a place of imagination. And Spectre is proud to release the vision and imagination of This Morn' Omina on this subject.

In three long tracks with a total playing time of over 50 minutes you are being told a story of the darkest of dark thoughts. Opressive atmospheres are scarcely being joined by rhythmic structures and vocals. Though the vocals don't give you the whole story. You are meant to form your own opinion on this subject. This Morn' Omina merely gives you what you need to create that opinion.

And during the creation of your personal Hell you ask yourself why it always has to be so dark, for it is a place where sinners are. You remember life as it was... 'Weren't there also sins that actually were quite enjoyable?' 'What if that guy ...' 'Whatever happend to the girl next door?'

On 'Inferno' This Morn' Omina offers you a peek into the future. And whether you'll get into Heaven or Hell, you'll always long for that which is out of reach. In Heaven there are no sinners and no sins. So Hell can't be that bad. At most it gets a bit warm, right?

Transitional - Nothing Real Nothing Absent (Core062) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

Transitional is the new project of musician producer Kevin Laska (Novatron) and long time Justin K. Broadrick and Kevin Martin collaborator Dave Cochrane (Jesu, Grey Machine).

The debut 'Nothing Real Nothing Absent' offers a rich variety in their approach to sound combining crushing atmospheres through a mixture of electronic ambience, mangling bass lines and distorted epic layers of textured guitar.

Injected with driving rhythms and effected vocal phrasing Laska and Cochrane build discordant worlds on an immense scale which pull you down to another level of fear and ethereal bliss before kicking off with some more soul dismantling sonic dysfunction.
This is a band which can deliver both sonic tranquility and extremely heavy slabs of dense music and just about everything in between; Heavy electronic machinery, juggernaut bass lines and hypnotic guitars go from passive relaxation to an unstoppable machine within a single surge.

Triore [Triarii & Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio] - Three Hours (CMI201) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

This fairytale started to unravel four years ago with the release of Triarii’s 'Piece Heroique'. A sinister seed was planted in the fertile soil of northern Europe as Christian Erdmann (Triarii) and Tomas Pettersson (Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio) gave birth to the track 'Roses 4 Rome'.

And now finally, the progeny has been conceived and fully developed; and what they call TriORE, has ultimately been born. Both participants go beyond themselves and step out of normal character, but TriORE is nonetheless the embodiment of all that which is Triarii, and all that which is Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio; like a succulent apple in two opposite pieces just waiting to be devoured. The bombastic touch of Triarii is still there; the string sections, the choirs, the martial drums and much more; alongside the eloquence of Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio, musically, melodically, as well as lyrically. This is what all lovers of both bands have been waiting for, a complete forty minutes of Art Deco Industrial Pop.

This work begins where 'Roses 4 Rome' left us, and takes all the way from the rising of victory, through the trenches and all the way till Europa falls.

V/A - Nikolaevka (PO23W) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

The Battle of Nikolaevka was fought on January 26, 1943 as a small part of the larger Battle of Stalingrad. The Soviets had already occupied every village and bitter battles were fought by the soldiers of the Tridentina to clear the way. In fifteen days the soldiers covered 200 km on foot, fought twenty-two battles and spent fourteen nights camped in the middle of the Russian steppe. On the morning of January 26th, the spearheads of the Tridentina reached the little hamlet of Nikolayevka, now part of the village of Livenka. A Soviet division occupied it and the surrounding area. The Alpini immediately began their heroic attack as they knew that this was the last Soviet position blocking their way to safety. The Soviet forces however held their ground, and after hours of fighting the Italian units became desperate as each hour increased the risk of Soviet reinforcements arriving. General Luigi Reverberi, commander of the Tridentina division, stepped into one of the last three tanks as the sun began to set and, yelling 'Tridentina Avanti', led his men personally on to the final assault.65 years later a new assault is being executed: the best Italian apocalyptic neofolk & martial acts are collected in remembrance of that final battle.

Unclean, ugly and lo-fi black metal in its most unpure form. Vargr - Wehrmacht Satanas (EPP007) - Released 2007

Distributed Records

The name of Henrik Nordvargr Björkk has always been associated with the power of Swedish Black Industrial and MZ. 412 for many years. As a part of MZ. 412, Nordvargr first managed to combine black metal and post-industrial aesthetics. But VARGR is even a more diabolic, blasphemous and terrifying cocktail of the real Scandinavian black metal of the early 1990s and the noisy post-industrial layers creating the atmosphere of real Evil, Death, Chaos and Destruction in their impious graciousness. An unholy communion summoned to create the soundtrack for all wars to come. Bow to the Northern Wolf!

Westwind - Tourmente I (SMR03) - Released 2004

Distributed Records

The first part of the Tourmente concept, presented in a double gatefold cover including a black vinyl and a white vinyl with insert. Dark military music.

"Deviating slightly from their usual quirkiness and weird charm here the music is more percussion and organ based with a fine dynamic in rhythm and mood setting. Actually the music is very simplified and restrained which only adds emphasis to the bleak ambience of the subject manner that they are trying to convey. Part life affirming and uplifting and part despondent and depressing the music twists and turns through so many feelings leaving you breathless with admiration. If you could imagine a more upbeat Protagonist it will give you some, but not all, sense as to what "Tourmente II" sounds like."

Wicked King Wicker - God Is Busy... Save Yourself (CSR125CD) - Released 2009

Distributed Records

Wicked King Wicker is pure doom. Their brand of guttural expression strips away the rock n roll base and leaves nothing for the listener than the caustic reality of the darkest side of life. It is heavy, barbaric and void of hope. Wicked King Wicker has taken the power of doom metal and added noise to mix to make its point. 'God Is Busy… Save Yourself' is their 6th album, and their first released outside of the U.S. Wicked King Wicker is unique, and their extreme doom stands alone as the heaviest, most brutal doom imaginable and it may take you places you don’t want to go.

Wolfskin - O Ajuntar Das Sombras (TumorCD22) - Released 2008

Distributed Records

Finally, after years of delay, O Ajuntar das Sombras by Wolfskin is finally unleashed. Initally intended to be a re-issue of 2001's very limited 'The Gather Of Shadows By The Setting Sun' CDr (Ajna), it eventually evolved into a re-working of three tracks from that release, complimented by 7 newly recorded tracks. As the Wolfskin era comes to end , this release represents a glimpse into their more organic, flowing ambient record than what you may find today, and perhaps the least conceptual of all their releases. That being said, it most certainly will go down as one of their more stunning, darker visions; a masterpiece of shadowy atmospheres and drifting currents, featuring multiple layers of archaic sounds, foggy, nebulous textures, and ritual invocations, perfectly combined to form a release of intense depth and complexity. Must certainly rank among the finest dark ambient records released in the history of Malignant.

An incredible amount of depth, power and conviction along with mature song-writing and incredible musicianship give them their own undeniably unique sound. The groups willingness to experiment with unconventional methods of recording and collaborate with avant-garde musicians sets them apart from the mundane normalcy that plagues many black metal bands albums as of late.
